The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance Business Partnering, the Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in supporting the financial performance and strategic decision-making of the organization for the UK Professional Services Capabilities known as Technical Assurance Services (TAS) and Consulting & Implementation (C&I). This role will also support the Associate Director of Finance Business Partnering with Global partnering for the capabilities. This position involves analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
The Finance Business Partner is essential for enabling effective financial planning and analysis, commercial insight and financial advice to the Associate Director of Finance Business Partnering and senior leadership team to help drive the financial performance of the division.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of regional Capability financial performance, including sales conversion, revenue and costs.
Identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Collaborate with department heads to gather inputs and assumptions for financial planning.
Supporting consolidation of the Global Capability budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Reporting:
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for regional and global capability leadership, highlighting key metrics and trends.
Develop dashboards to visualise financial performance and support decision-making.
Variance Analysis:
Analyse variances between actual results and budgeted figures, explaining deviations and proposing corrective actions.
Identify underlying issues affecting financial performance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, operations, marketing) to ensure financial considerations are incorporated into financial models.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Ad-hoc Analysis:
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified in a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is required.
Experience in a Commercial Finance role within a Cyber Security/Technology business is desirable.
Proven experience in financial modelling, accounting, business partnering, and strategic decision support.
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience influencing senior level leadership.
Advanced proficiency in Excel ideally Power Query and/or Power BI. It is desirable to have experience of Salesforce, CRMs or source systems.
Experience of analysing large data sets from multiple sources.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Working knowledge of IFRS and Revenue accounting in Professional Services.
Understanding of what good financial control looks like.
Experience of working in an international organisation would be beneficial.
