ABOUT THIS JOB

The Asset Management Planning Technician position at the City of Tucson’s General Services Department collaborates with and supports all city departments by processing fleet billing, performing data entry, analysis and validation for data integrity, generating custom reports, tracking performance measures, and assisting with database administration.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Fleet Services Administrator. This position does not supervise. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Documents task completions timelines, provides analysis of work orders and estimates, and processes data for dashboards and other metric measurement tools.

  • Performs data analysis and validation for data integrity, accuracy and error correction, identifies data inaccuracies and suggests corrections.

  • Monitors dashboards and ensures the efficiency of systems such as AssetWorks database functionality.

  • Processes monthly fleet billing, resolves issues, verifies accounts and validates revenues.

  • Maintains asset baselines, creates map graphics, and assists with presentations.

  • Creates reports and collaborates with teams to analyze assessment data.

  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Working conditions as follows:

Work schedule may require early mornings and late evenings.

Often works under the following conditions: Mostly office environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Six (6) months post high school.

Work Experience: Two (2) years of directly related experience.

Equivalency: Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Valid and unrestricted Arizona Class D Driver License.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating custom reports using Crystal Reports, SQL, Power BI, etc.

Experience performing research and analysis using an asset management system with large sets of data.

Experience with customer billing.

Experience working in a vehicle repair facility.

Accounts Payable/Receivable experience.
