ASSISTANT ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLER RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Lead Assembler, this position operates various shop equipment and hand tools. This position may also fabricate and bond parts, and perform part finishing, cleaning, and deburring as well as other production activities, including but not limited to cleaning and maintaining equipment as well as the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Utilize oral communication skills, visual acuity, and manual dexterity skills.
- Demonstrate good manual dexterity including great attention to detail.
- Perform quality test of assembled products.
- Assemble cables and connectors to exact standards.
- Position requires knowledge of basic math, reading a tape measure, and reading wiring diagrams.
- Use light cranes to move heavy metal structures.
- Interpret wiring diagrams to assemble and wire panels and cameras.
- Check, test, serialize, and pack boards.
- Will use electrical hoists, air driven, and hand power tools.
- Assemble and terminate electronic components, such as transformers, resistors and equipment onto layout board.
- Work as part of a team of employees assembling wiring harnesses, electronic components, solar panels, and electrical control boxes.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to equipment set-up.
- Must be able to operate with minimal supervision once trained by following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Wear proper safety equipment and always comply with company safety rules.
- Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday during business hours of 7:00am-4:00pm
