Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) is seeking a motivated and experienced SPICE Modeling Engineer to support advanced semiconductor process development. This position is based in Bangalore, India, and is part of ADI’s global modeling team, with members across the US, Ireland, and India.
We are particularly interested in candidates with deep expertise in high-voltage LDMOS and CMOS device modeling, as well as in modeling inter-device coupling effects—especially those driven by parasitic bipolar action in monolithic silicon technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in device physics, a hands-on approach to electrical characterization, and a passion for exploring the physical limits of electronic instrumentation. This role is not just about using modeling tools—it’s about diving deep into measurements, experimentation, and innovation.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop compact models for LDMOS, CMOS, BJT, diode, resistor, and capacitor devices, with a strong focus on high-voltage LDMOS and CMOS.
- Characterize and model inter-device parasitics, including those involving parasitic bipolar transistor action.
- Perform multi-physics modeling involving electrical, thermal, and mechanical interactions.
- Develop long-term degradation models for MOS and LDMOS devices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics with a strong background in semiconductor device physics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in device modeling with strong physical intuition in electrothermal, piezoelectric, and bipolar device behavior.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with SPICE-like circuit simulators.
- Experience with applying machine learning or AI techniques to device model extraction is a strong plus
