Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.
Eldora strives to deliver Colorado’s Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors. Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.
Position Summary: We're seeking a creative and energetic Content & Event Specialist to capture the daily magic of Eldora Mountain Resort through compelling visual storytelling while assisting our events team in an operational piece. This role combines artistic vision with operational support, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic mountain environment and wants to showcase the authentic Eldora experience.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Production (60%)
Capture high-quality video content showcasing daily resort operations, guest experiences, and mountain conditions.
Document action sports, special moments, events, and seasonal activities across all areas of the resort.
Create compelling visual narratives that tell authentic stories of the Eldora experience.
Maintain consistent brand voice and visual aesthetic across all content.
Edit and optimize content for various digital formats and platforms.
Collaborate with marketing team to develop content calendars and campaign materials.
Manage and organize digital asset library.
Event Operations Support (40%)
Assist Events Manager with setup, coordination, and execution of resort events.
Provide on-site event support including logistics, guest services, and problem-solving.
Document events through videography.
Support pre-event planning and post-event wrap-up activities.
Coordinate with various resort departments to ensure seamless event execution.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
All employees are expected to support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

This position is a seasonal position and may have fluctuations in hours worked based upon overall business volumes.
Specific Job Skills:
High school degree or equivalent.
2+ years experience in visual storytelling with video.
Strong portfolio demonstrating narrative-driven visual content and storytelling capabilities (not terrain park footage).
Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability required for mountain navigation and access.
Must be comfortable with skiing/snowboarding while carrying equipment/event supplies.
Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or others preferred).
Experience shooting dynamic outdoor subjects or events.
Advanced experience creating quick videos using GoPro and/or Insta360 cameras.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of ski resort operations and mountain culture.
Event coordination or operational support experience.
Advanced video editing experience with color grading tools like DaVinci Resolve.
Experience with extreme weather photography/videography.
Multilingual capabilities.
Physical Demands:
Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling & prolonged standing.
Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment.
Concentrated reading and writing.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Variation in temperature from hot to cold.
Schedule:
Position begins Oct 1
Varies depending on event schedule & resort needs.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $26+ actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
