Job Description Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:
Admissions Ambassadors serve as the first point of contact for visiting prospective students and families. Admissions Ambassadors act as liaisons between prospective students and school staff. They provide authentic contact, speaking to their personal experiences at Ringling College of Art and Design.

As the first contact, they also serve the role of encouraging families to initiate important topics with their Admissions Counselor during and after their visit, including financial, academic, scheduling and billing questions.In addition to weekday responsibilities, Admissions Ambassadors are required to work four weekend days, Open House (2), National Portfolio Day and Accepted Student Day. All these dates are institutional priorities and Student Ambassadors are a critical component of Ringling College’s ability to show off our personal attention to the students and their families. Throughout these visit days, Ambassadors are available to assist visitors, serve on a student panel, and offer tours

This position requires a high degree of interaction with the public and good customer services skills are required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts campus tours.

  • Meets and greets prospective students and their families.

  • Educates visitors about campus life, history, traditions and achievements of the College.

  • Engages with visitors authentically; encouraged to share personal experiences as a student of Ringling College.

  • Attends critical campus events such as Open House, National Portfolio Day and Accepted Student Day.

  • Assist with clerical work as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must have strong customer service skills.

  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Must be enthusiastic about Ringling College of Art and Design; displays positive and professional attitude at all time.

  • Must be reliable, punctual and able to follow through on assignments.

Education and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design.
