Job Description Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Crossley Gallery Student Director assists in the daily operations of the gallery. Typical duties include preparation and installation of exhibitions, coordinating exhibitions. The ideal Student Director has a strong interest in gallery management.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Exhibition installation and preparation.

• Coordinates exhibitions.

• Website and blog maintenance.

• Attends meetings.

• Hosts receptions.

• Monitors gallery.

• Conducts artist, alumni and exhibition research as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must be punctual, reliable and able to follow through on assignments.

• Must be able to work independently and as a team

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
• Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design
Preferred:
• Photography and video experience.
• Interest in gallery management
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Photoshop
