Lead Engineer, Product Security Engineering

The LSEG Product Security Engineering team inside the cyber security division is looking for an engineer to build tools and automations to help secure software development for thousands of developers across the group.  
 

You will be working as part of a geographically distributed remote team comprising of security engineers and software engineers. Our team’s mission is to allow engineers to embed security best practices frictionlessly as part of their day to day work.  
 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:  

• Experience in building full-stack products (web applications, APIs, CI tooling or low-level software) 
• Previous experience with cloud technologies and tools (exposure to AWS/GCP/Azure or container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes)  
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation) 
• Exposure and knowledge of supply chain security in the SDLC   
• Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures for dealing with large quantities of data (e.g., building data-intensive systems) 
• Experience providing feedback to engineers via code review (bonus points if you are able to identify common software security defects) 
   

As part of this role, you will get exposure to all parts of the business that build software using a wide array of technologies (low-level C++ to high-level TypeScript web apps to new cloud technologies). This is the ideal role for a polyglot technologist looking to making a large impact on software development in the group.   
 

Note: you do not need all skills listed above in order to quality – we’re primarily interested in software engineers that have an interest in software security (e.g. building secure software).
