Condition monitoring technician

Main duties:

•  Collecting Diesel engine emissions data using specialty exhaust measuring tooling

•  Collecting operator's cabin integrity data using ultrasonic leak detection tooling

•  Following all relevant rules, regulations and procedures relating to OT UG Mobile Equipment Maintenance.

•  Raising notifications for repair and investigative actions in the OT CMMS (SAP).

• Understanding of NDT tools and technologies

•  Escalation of any safety concerns to supervisor.

Qualifications and skills:

• Must be a mechanical engineer or trained in a mechanical field (mechanics, metalwork, welding or similar)

• Experience in maintenance of heavy mobile equipment is an advantage

• At least 2 years of experience in the field of underground mining or mining environment;

• Understanding of underground mine excavation/design standards, codes and legislation.

• Capable of communicating using technical language 

• Ability to write maintenance notifications in a clear, concise manner.

• Solid understanding of condition monitoring technologies and their limitations

• Have good health and safety practices and understanding.
