You’ll join a Surface Water team who have national coverage, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for a range of clients across Australia. The team brings significant experience across water management, water regulations, impact assessments, water monitoring, water quality assessments, engineering and water modelling. You will add to the significant experience they have delivering solutions for a range of sectors including energy, major infrastructure, mining and extraction, closure and rehabilitation, whilst also bringing scope to shape and grow the practice.

Here’s what you can expect in your new role with EMM:
- Play a pivotal role in the growth of our Surface Water practice at EMM.
- Leverage internal networks to identify opportunities to work with our existing clients.
- Through your industry knowledge and strong network, identify new business opportunities.
- Act as either Project Director or Project Manager with responsibility for successful project delivery including monitoring project budgets, tracking schedules and outputs and outcome evaluation.
- Lead significant hydrological assessments and a range of water management projects across the globe and across a variety of sectors and industries, including renewables, mining, infrastructure, water infrastructure, transport, and waste management covering related studies.
- Have the support you need to deliver exceptional quality with specialist teams across EMM and leaders who are truly present and excited to help you deliver

Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:
- Significant industry experience in hydrology/water engineering or a closely related field as either a consultant or in an industry capacity for mining, renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in scoping and leading the technical components of a wide range of hydrological and surface water investigations such as water balance studies, water quality assessment, integrated water resources management and surface water/stormwater management, flow and flood analyses, flood modelling, flood mapping and risk assessments.
- Deep understanding of your local market, and ability to be able to identify opportunities within our key markets; major infrastructure, renewable energy and mining.
- Experience in strategic thinking and business planning.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines with ability to leverage internal contacts.
- Superior project management and project delivery skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility to work across a range of projects across sectors and industries, including renewables, mining, infrastructure, transport.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion.
- Registered Professional Engineer accredited or ability to become accredited is preferred.
