The Retail Sales Associate Lead provides excellent customer service and actively promotes the selling of merchandise, operates a cash register and handles all payment transactions for purchase. The Retail Associate Lead receives, unpacks, folds and puts away the daily deliveries of merchandise. He or she employs selling techniques required for the position. The Retail Sales Associate Lead ensures that the selling areas are neat and clean and complies with visual standards. Assists Supervisor in maintaining department to standards, covers breaks and assists with supervisory duties when assigned as lead on duty. Communicates any issues with the Supervisor and other Leads. All retail employees should be outgoing, upbeat, energetic and reliable. 
 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required. College degree preferred. 
Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification


 

Previous retail and/or customer service experience is highly preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Must be able to problem solve and possess the ability to rationalize.

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills have a professional appearance and be a team player.

Must be able to work independently.

Ability to read and comprehend a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.

Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, minimum of 4 – 6 hrs.

Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways (a minimum of 20steps), or by escalator.

Responds to visual and aural cues.

Must be fluent and literate in English.

Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.

Must have the manual dexterity to key in data, grab, grip, hold, tear, cut, sort and reach.

Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.

 

Must be able to work a varied schedule, holidays and weekends.
