Main purpose of the role:
Simmons Adaptive is seeking an experienced Corporate M&A lawyer to support a restructuring project within a dynamic investment firm.
The successful consultant will work closely with senior stakeholders and will be responsible for a range of corporate M&A, commercial, and funds-related matters.
You will ideally have experience across:
- Corporate M&A
- Termination of contracts
- Setting up new companies
- Managing novation contracts
- Handling transactional work, including fund-related transactions
- Supporting the investment side of the business
- Managing sale and purchase agreements, investment advisory agreements, and management agreements
- While private equity experience is advantageous, it is not essential.
This is a full-time role, requiring 5 days a week with 1 day of remote working.
Person specification:
- You hold the relevant right to work in the UK.
- You are a qualified lawyer with minimum 10 years’ PQE specialising in corporate M&A (the client will also consider applicants focussing on private equity funds).
- You can hit the ground running and work autonomously.
- You are a team player with the gravitas to manage senior stakeholder relationships.
- You can thrive in a high-performance culture with minimal supervision.
- You have strong communication and organisational skills.
