Wood is recruiting for a HSE Construction Supervisor to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. 
Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.
 

In this role you Shall act as one of the company representatives and shall ensure and monitor the HSSE during the project period. Define, Identify and implement HSSE OQ’s technical, functional compliance and International/local legal standards and best practices

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure OQ HSSE Management system compliance within the Project. 
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of the HSSE Plan and Safe work procedures. 
  • Coordinate incident investigations, arrange incident reviews and track the closeouts. 
  • Inspect contractor's vehicles, equipment, camp, clinic, canteen, workshop etc. 
  • Supervise the site activities. Daily TBT meeting. Gate meeting 
  • Ensure contractors fulfil the requirements before mobilization. 
  • Ensure compliance with approved HSSE procedures & regulations.
  • Review & approve contractor documentation (method statements, lifting plans, drawings, work procedures, Permits, specific risk assessments, HEMP etc.)
  • Maintain knowledge of current governing regulations, codes and practices and inform the Contractor Representative whenever revision to the Project HSSE plans and procedures are required. 
  • Provide timely advice to the team on opportunities to achieve the highest standards of HSSE. 
  • Monitor and evaluate contractor and sub-contractor implementation of the HSSE activity plan. 
  • Facilitate /participate in the Hazard & Effect Management Process /Risk Assessment sessions with the contractor and sub-contractors. 
  • Daily liaison with Contractor HSSE Managers to ensure proper implementation and monitoring of HSSE systems.
  • Equipment pre-mobilization inspection and approval for mobilization to site. 
  • Interview and approval of contractor and sub-contractors HSE Advisors prior to their mobilization. 
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Permit to Work systems implementation. 
  • Follow-up timely closeout of HSSE audits NCRs & observations.                                                                                                         
  • Ensure all wastes are managed as per the waste management plan. 
  • Review and submit Project HSSE Performance reports.
  • Diploma in engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience 
  • At least 6 years of oil and gas experience.
  • Relevant safety qualification
