Description

The James Benjamin Department of Accounting at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be a 9-month academic appointment to begin in Fall 2026.

The successful candidate(s) is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes, conduct scholarly research, work with PhD students, and provide service to the profession. The primary mode of teaching and research is in-person.

The department has an outstanding group of faculty at all ranks, many of whom are serving (or have served) as editors or members of the editorial boards of our field’s leading journals, and a vibrant PhD program. We offer an integrated program that confers both undergraduate and master’s degrees as well as stand-alone master’s degrees through our in-person or Flex Online programs. Our programs benefit from strong partnerships with public accounting firms and corporations.

Qualifications

Applicants for this position must possess a doctoral degree in Accounting or expect to receive their doctoral degree by August 2026, a demonstrated ability to publish in leading scholarly journals, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a strong interest in working with doctoral students.
