Description
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an accomplished Physiatrist with leadership skills to oversee and expand their Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder (PM&R SCI/D) program across three major hospitals and affiliated outpatient clinics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both clinical and administrative leadership in a growing and dynamic healthcare system. The ideal candidate will also engage with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest PM&R training programs in the country.
Key Highlights:
- Location: Based at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, this role involves work across Clements University Hospital, Parkland Hospital, THD-Presbyterian Hospital, and affiliated outpatient clinics.
- Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical care for both inpatients and outpatients
- Teach medical students, PM&R residents, and fellows
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and research
- Lead the development of the PM&R Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder (PM&R SCI/D) program
- Research Environment: Collaborate with basic science and clinical teams to support interdisciplinary research with ample resources for biostatistical, administrative, and logistical support.

Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Board Certification: ABPMR Board certified or eligible
- Licensure: Eligible for Texas medical licensure (must acquire prior to employment

This is a leadership role suited for a highly motivated physiatrist with the ability to drive program development while maintaining a focus on clinical excellence and education. Demonstrated Experience traumatic spinal cord injury would be highly beneficial.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
