Executive – Environmental Sustainability
(Based at Silueta, Biyagama)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Silueta team as an Executive – Environmental Sustainability. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to execute environmental sustainability related initiatives across the SBU and for all sites within the company scope whilst, following up the accurate and timely performance thereby effectively meeting organization’s internal/ external environmental sustainability standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the required standards at internal and external environmental sustainability assessment tools and audits in the plant.
- Engage relevant stakeholders in consultation with management to identify, implement and monitor agreed upon environmental initiatives/activities in an efficient and effective manner
- Support team in implementing new strategies, develop innovative methods of handling energy, emissions, water and waste in an effective manner by constantly researching on new technologies/practices ensuring the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives
- Support teams to develop and execute programs to create awareness on environment among employees and help improve organizational culture
- Report plant environmental sustainability KPI updates and environmental parameters to divisional/corporate at given frequencies
- Perform additional duties that commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Environmental science or any related degree
- 2 – 3 years relevant work experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and reporting is a plus
