KPMG global services are seeking talented individuals with managerial experience to lead our Resourcing team under the KGS Workforce operations department. The consulting resourcing team focuses on strategic workforce planning and is a critical business function at KPMG. It ensures that KGS has the right people with the right skills, available at the right time in the right locations. The appointed Manager will be expected to drive the effective resourcing of both onshore and offshore teams, influence business decisions regarding resourcing, and contribute significantly to KPMG’s overall business performance

Summary of Role:

The successful Manager candidate will be responsible for –

Driving the effective deployment of resources, through a short, medium and long-term lens. This involves working closely with team leaders, managers, and partners to understand resourcing requirements and how they can be best met.Chairing regular resourcing meetings with senior stakeholders to discuss current and future resourcing positions, highlighting any shortfalls or clashes that need addressing.Developing robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels to understand skills, experiences, and career aspirations, to inform resourcing decisions.Managing the Resource Management supply and demand tool to ensure accurate reflection of current and future resourcing positions.Working closely with offshore teams to ensure all absence (holiday, sickness, parental leave etc.) is accurately submitted in SuccessFactors, and then subsequently monitoring this, highlighting issues as appropriate.Chairing or participating in weekly Resourcing meetings with the People Leaders/Sector leads and with the local Resourcing teams.Line / performance management responsibilities to junior colleagues.Delivering outstanding resource management service by focusing on achieving results, proactively looking for solutions, but also providing challenge around staffing requirements, timings etc.

Essential Skills -

Significant experience in a resource management environment is essential.Strong commercial awareness with a deep understanding of the business issues that drive resource management.A strong track record in influencing staff and partners, obtaining buy-in and shaping decision outcomes while managing the expectations of the business.Excellent personal effectiveness with the ability to handle conflicts, express own ideas persuasively and creatively, and challenge across all levels of seniority.A confident negotiator able to build relationships in a wider network.Advanced user of the MS Office suite “Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Proven high level administrative experience.Strong multi-tasking skills with excellent judgment to work within potentially competing demands.

Performance Management:

Day to day management of the Resource Advisors and Associates aligned to their departmentsFocusing service delivery on achieving desired outcomes, IDE and other defined metrics, flagging up areas where workload in the team is high or low and taking appropriate actions to address. Promoting an inclusive culture aligned with our global KPMG values.Leveraging the Talent Deployment COE MI team as required for reporting purposes.

Strong understanding of Talent Deployment and operations in Consulting or equivalent industryResilient and capable of working in a challenging, continuously changing environmentStrong interpersonal skills – being able to interact well with peers and other more junior members of the team including ability to coach and performance manage.Ability to manage large volumes, work and lead in a high performing environment, and respond positively to changing prioritiesProblem solving - able to identify, influence and facilitate outcomes by helping shape a strategic viewpoint.Discretion – demonstrate ethical behaviour, including tact, discretion and know-how to safeguard or use confidential information.Resourceful and connected – able to connect the relevant people at the right time and build strong networks quickly – both within Consulting onshore, KGS and the wider firm.Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
