Job Description & Summary

Kia ora - join us in shaping The Next Era of PwC.

It’s a great time to be joining PwC New Zealand – a community of solvers that lead with heart and live by our values. We’re driving forward our new people's experience through The Next Era strategy. As we reimagine how we grow, lead, and connect, this role is central to delivering a purposeful, consistent and high-impact employee experience that supports our firm to thrive.

Ngā kōrero mō tēnei tūranga / About the role

This is a pivotal leadership role in the People & Culture function, sitting on the P&C Leadership Team and working closely with the other two Directors. You will lead the People Experience (PX) portfolio, bringing together onboarding, wellbeing, leadership development, learning, feedback, inclusion, and H&S into one strategic, integrated remit.

Your work will directly enable PwC’s vision for The Next Era by embedding the People Value Proposition (PVP) across the employee journey—from first impressions to Moments that Matter. You'll play a key role in shaping how we bring our culture, strategy, and new brand identity to life for our people.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic PX programmes that bring The Next Era to life—supporting engagement, leadership, and belonging.

  • Embed the PVP across touchpoints in the people journey, aligned with our refreshed brand and employer positioning.

  • Partner across functions to deliver cohesive, cross-functional PX solutions, anchored in GPS insights and feedback loops.

  • Guide a high-performing team delivering initiatives such as onboarding (Phase 1 & 2), Te Hā and wellbeing, leadership uplift, and PX analytics.

  • Work alongside P&C Connect and Business Partners to align PX delivery with business unit priorities.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

  • Proven senior leadership experience across PX, HR, OD, or people strategy

  • Strong experience delivering people-led change and strategy in complex environments

  • Deep understanding of one or more of: inclusion, learning, wellbeing, onboarding, or employee engagement

  • Strong strategic planning and delivery capability, with a systems-thinking mindset

  • Confident communicator who can coach, influence, and drive integrated people solutions

Ngā āhuatanga hirahira o te mahi ki PwC / Highlights of working at PwC NZ

  • Unrivalled level of access to industry expertise, both locally and through our wider global network of member firms, where you’ll be enabled by cutting-edge technology.

  • PwC shows care to employees by providing life and income protection as part of our total remuneration package.

  • PwC's paid parental leave applies to all parents regardless of gender, so all our employees can be involved with raising their children

  • Enhanced leave capabilities - an opportunity to purchase additional leave and two staff recognition days available each year.

Mo te aha tāu e tatari ana? / What are you waiting for?

With PwC, you’ll belong to a whānau, a community of problem solvers, where differences are embraced. We empower you with the technology, coaching, flexibility and trust needed to make a meaningful difference, while supporting you to be your authentic self each day.
