Manager, Finance (M+ Museum)

You will be responsible for:

• assisting the Head, Finance (Museums) to lead the finance team and ensure that the finance records are accurate, review and formulate financial strategies, policies and operational procedures to ensure compliance with directives from the Boards and Committees, statutory requirements and accounting standards and consistency with the business objectives of the Authority;
• assisting the Head, Finance (Museums) to act as business partner with internal stakeholders to ensure robust operational controls and an internal control system is in place;
• assisting the Head, Finance (Museums) to conduct periodic business reviews to ensure that business initiatives are aligned to the objectives while the business performance is within the approved budget parameters and control guidelines;
• assisting the Head, Finance (Museums) to monitor and manage M+ Museum’s budget, income, expenses, capital expenditure and cashflow, to ensure that the financial targets are achieved;
• preparing monthly financial reports, analysis and forecasts to the Board, Committees, executive team and internal stakeholders on a timely and accurate basis with illuminating and succinct commentaries;
• managing financial audits and working with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards;
• leading automation initiatives and digitisation transformation, driving continuous improvement in financial reporting and transactional systems and processes; and
• performing other duties commensurate with the position of Manager, Finance (M+ Museum) and performing such services from time to time as WKCDA may reasonably direct.

You should:

• possess a recognised university degree with professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline;
• have a membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants or equivalent;
• have at least 10 years of experience in finance, accounting or auditing, preferably gained in a large organisation;
• have experience in operational finance will be an advantage;
• have good knowledge in ERP systems, financial modelling, business controls and management reporting;
• have project leadership experience in system implementation, process automation and digital transformation will be a plus;
• be detail-minded while having the ability to think creatively and out of the box;
• have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• be a good team spirit and a good financial advisor;
• have the ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders;
• have excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills; and
• be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
