Are you an experienced tax pro who loves building lasting client relationships? Join our Tax & Consulting team as a Senior Accountant and play a key role in delivering personalized tax strategies and financial planning through our signature Ideal Futures Process.

 

The Senior Accountant, T&C is part of our Tax and Consulting team that serves as partners in building lifetime relationships with clients. The Senior Accountant, T&C delivers tax and consulting services and specialized financial planning to clients and assisting our tax and consulting team and wealth advisors with delivering our Ideal Futures Process to clients. This comprehensive process addresses all areas of a client’s tax planning and wealth management needs.

The Senior Accountant can expect to focus in the following areas:

Tax

  • Front-line preparation of tax returns (federal and state for individual, corporation, partnership, fiduciary)
  • Clear and timely communication with clients, tax staff, advisors, and senior level management
  • Develop and maintain client relationships by providing exemplary client services
  • Assist in the scaling of the tax team by taking on increasing responsibility of client work and communication, becoming the point person for clients.
  • Develop a command of various software used for tax, paperless documents storage and workflow
  • Manage client needs and requests; attend client meetings, as needed
  • Research complex tax issues

Business Services

  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including bank reconciliations, payroll processing, journal entries, etc.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of various quarterly and annual compliance reports.
  • Support senior level managers and attend client meetings, as needed.

Financial Planning

  • Gather, organize, and synthesize client data and review client financial statements, tax returns, estate planning documents and all other information necessary to develop a tax plan, financial plan or other various analyses
  • Prepare  various tax and financial planning analyses (i.e., tax, social security, insurance, stock option, Roth conversion, and pension analyses)

 

A couple things to note about our Senior Accountant position:

  • This position is based out of our office in Lewes, DE.
  • The schedule is Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.

The Senior Accountant position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-5  years’ experience in tax preparation
  • Pursuing or active CPA license or EA license
  • CFP or Series 65 certification a plus (or interest in obtaining)

The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $78,000 - 105,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions.
