Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst (HB and HB Claims)

CereCore is looking to hire an Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst (Hospital Billing) for our client’s Community Connect partner.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, build, test, and maintain Epic Hospital Billing (HB) functionality, with a focus on Claims Processing and Remittance workflows.
• Collaborate with revenue cycle leaders, billing teams, and IT staff to identify requirements, optimize workflows, and resolve HB-related issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot claim generation, submission, and follow-up processes to ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Support remittance posting and reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate application of payments and adjustments.
• Develop and execute test plans for system upgrades, enhancements, and patches; document and validate results.
• Provide end-user training and support for HB Claims and Remittance functions, including workflow guidance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain current Epic Hospital Billing certification and stay informed on new Epic functionality and industry best practices.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotation for critical revenue cycle system issues.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation, workflow diagrams, and job aids to support operational and compliance needs.
• Partner with other Epic application analysts to ensure seamless integration of HB processes with related modules (e.g., ADT, PB, Resolute, and external clearinghouses).

Qualifications:

• Current Epic Hospital Billing (HB) certification required; proficiency in Claims Processing and Remittance functionality strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Epic HB in a healthcare or revenue cycle setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in HB claim generation, submission, follow-up, and remittance posting workflows.
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations, payer requirements, and revenue cycle best practices.
• Experience with HB build, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting in a production environment.
• Ability to translate operational needs into effective Epic system solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
