In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving quality excellence by managing the completion of internal and external investigations for our valued customers. You’ll also act as a trusted partner, offering your insights and expertise during internal meetings to help ensure we deliver top-tier service and compliance.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry. Under the direct supervision of our Quality Supervisor, the Quality Specialist is a key player in various facets of our quality program here at Quadra Chemicals.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Quality Specialist?

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather necessary information for closing non-conformances and investigations
• Initiate, document, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
• Manage and respond to internal and external requests within Salesforce in a timely and professional manner
• Support the assessment and release of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) products
• Source, organize, and maintain API documentation, including specifications, stability data, and other GMP-compliant records
• Conduct environmental monitoring activities for the storage warehouse
• Assist in the execution of Annual Product Quality Reviews
• Contribute to various quality improvement projects and initiatives
• Support the review, development, and revision of quality-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Prepare and report Quality Metrics related to investigations, CAPAs, and other quality systems, as required
• Provide proactive guidance and follow-up with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and collaboration
• Perform additional Quality System tasks and responsibilities as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in science (preferably in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology)
• Fluency in French and English, with English required as the role also involves work outside of Quebec
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Good knowledge of Health Canada’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strong understanding of quality requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry and quality assurance principles
• Experience working in an advanced IT environment; proficiency in Salesforce is an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail, rigor, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team while managing multiple deadlines
• Proven experience in technical writing
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $59, 700 to $89,500. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
