About the Job:

The Senior Billing Manager oversees the customer billing process for the IML division to ensure an on-time billing flow, assesses the validity of invoices, and provides corrective action for complex billing issues.

In This Role, You Will:

• Oversee all systems and processes related to customer invoicing.
• Manage multiple employees within the billing department of the division, both onshore and offshore.
• Develop and maintain an efficient team through cross-training efforts, coaching, and development.
• Act as a hands-on manager to ensure billing to customers is performed to meet internal deadlines.
• Establish controls to improve billing accuracy and periodically review/update department processes to ensure effective and productive job functions.
• Ensure that appropriate sales or management personnel are communicated with when customer accounts either do not, or are slow to respond, to collection attempts.
• Generate reports, forms, and other documents as needed to perform daily job functions.
• Maintain customer records, documents, and system notes as needed.
• Monitor and review billing processes performed by subordinates.
• Report/Review with Accounting on when to credit, debit, and or re-bill customer accounts as determined by each situation and/or when advised by other managers.
• Work closely with the Accounting and Collections department on receivables issues.
• Collaborate with customers, third-party agencies, and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
• Communicate with vendors to collect outstanding paperwork needed to complete customer invoices.


Qualifications and Key Skills:

• A BS or a BA degree, with emphasis in accounting, but we will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Logistics industry experience is highly preferred.
• Previous Truckmate experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient Microsoft Office products.


Travel Requirement:
Approximately 5% - 10% travel is anticipated.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

The base pay range for this position is: $97,500.00 - $131,750.00 per year plus bonus.
