POSITION TITLE:                          Laundry Attendant

REPORTS TO:                                  Shift Supervisor, Housekeeping; Dual Rate Supervisor, Housekeeping

SUPERVISES:                                    N/A

 

JOB SUMMARY:                               

Take stock of each laundry item and carefully inspect every piece of linen for top quality. Dedicate yourself to the art of laundering, from washing and folding to ironing, and ensure that linens are loaded onto carts to perfection. Embrace the opportunity to assist in chute room duties whenever required.

 

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Count items for the day and inventory outgoing items
• Inspect all linen for quality, remove and dispose of foreign materials, and sort soiled laundry based on type and degree of stain
• Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs
• Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times
• Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
• Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication skills 

1. Self-starter: must work without close supervision with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, push, pull, and grip items, work in small, shared spaces, and walk and stand for long periods
2. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues and read, write, speak, and understand English
3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds
4. Must be able to operate laundry equipment (washers and dryers)
5. Must be able to work with various chemicals
6. Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
