Classification Minimum Requirements:- Must be a Federal Work Study student.
- Preference for students who have completed at least 1 semester at UF.
The Department of Chemical Engineering in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is actively accepting applications from Federal Work Study Students. The employee will be responsible for learning and then executing all tasks related to the care and maintenance of our Stoppel Lab plodia interpunctella silkworm cultures, including checking on their growth, counting caterpillars, making their food (diet), cleaning their boxes, collecting silk, cleaning silk, and any other things that arise. The employee will assist with lab safety activities, such as flushing eye wash stations and updating the chemical inventory.

This part-time position is ideal for a student interested in completing an honors thesis.
Expected Salary:$15 per hour
Required Qualifications:- Must be a Federal Work Study student.
- Preference for students who have completed at least 1 semester at UF.
Students majoring in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or medicine) are encouraged to apply.
