About the Role - Finance Manager will primarily be responsible for
- Grant Management which includes preparation of project budget, its approval, booking of project expenses as per the approved budget, preparation of UC, updation of MIS
- Lead, promote and manage the shared service operations of the entity
- Accounts Payable ensuring timely payment while ensuring the authenticity, integrity, existence, accuracy, authorization and verifiability of all financial transactions recorded in the accounting system.
- Income Tax Ensure timely compliance of TDS / ITR / assessments
- GST Ensure timely compliance and filing of GSTR 1 / 3B
- Accounts and Audit Finalization Preparing of Financial statements as per the requirements of Schedule III of the Companies Act 2013
- Payroll compliances like EPF, ESI, PT
- Banking Relationship

Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Review and ensure completeness and accuracy of all transactions (income, unutilized grants, overheads recovery, accruals, provision for expenses etc.)
- Manage the entire process (applicability, deduction, deposit and returns) of statutory payments (including employee related compliances) of TDS, GST, PF, ESI, NPS and professional tax etc.
- Liaise with bankers and manage the banking relationships, access to online banking, account opening/closure, FIRCs, statements, confirmations etc.
- Manage payments to local and global vendors and employees, with process SLAs & related internal controls in place
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of all Income tax and GST matters including applicability, reverse charge, self-invoicing, periodic deposit, returns and refunds.
- Ensure strict compliance with project codes /cost centers, inter company reconciliation, allocation and apportioning techniques for jointly incurred expenses by two or more projects, and update accounting system as per donor/parent company reporting requirements
- Providing support to the annual budgeting process. Work with functional managers/project managers to ensure the annual budget and annual reforecast is complete, timely and accurate
- Perform monthly GL scrutiny and do reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and reconcile monthly income and unearned revenue
- Prepare monthly variance analysis reports (budget vs actual) for each project/division and consolidated report for the organization as whole; interpret the variance and prepare reports highlighting the major deviations with explanatory comments
- Refine, maintain and develop various reports required by the key stakeholders as per agreed timelines with high level of accuracy and integrity
- Manage internal and statutory audits, ensure timely preparation of financial statements as per the requirement of Schedule III of the Companies Act 2013 and other related schedules, and ensure timely completion of audits with unqualified reports
- Drive improvement in policies, processes, systems and internal control environment of the organization e.g. segregation of duties, maker checker, masters (vendor, employee, customer, chart of accounts etc.), process improvement, documentation of SOPs
- Play a super-user role for ERP/ Tally and ensure full utilization of its capabilities. Improve and manage controls in Tally e.g. access controls, parking/posting of vouchers, password management, report customization, mappings, backups etc.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed asset register that matches books of accounts
- Accurate and Timely Payroll processing
- Ensure that all activities comply with various legal provisions, ethical standards and industry best practices
- Any other task assigned by the line manager.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Qualified CA with 6 to 10 Years of working experience
- Proficient in ERPs (Concur, Business Central, Tally, SAP etc) and relevant tools, processes, with extensive knowledge of all features and functionalities and excellent understanding of GL management, cost centre, project and intercompany accounting
- Should have led and managed the Teams and Processes earlier
- Good knowledge of Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST and other regulations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Multi-tasker with excellent prioritizing and time management skills
- Self-starter with a drive to excel while achieving results
- Very high level of commitment and integrity
- Quick learner and adaptable
- Open to feedback and willing to work on it
