Job Title: Oracle Utilities Project Management Support (PM Assistant)

Rate: DOE

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Oracle Utilities Project Management Support (PM Assistant) to help drive coordination and successful execution across Oracle Utilities projects, including Customer Care and Billing (CCB), Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Meter Data Management (MDM), Smart Grid Gateway (SGG), and SOA Suite. This position supports both onsite and offsite delivery, facilitates communication across teams, supports project documentation and planning, and ensures delivery timelines are met. Candidates must be flexible to accommodate after-hours support as needed and should bring experience in complex utility-sector engagements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Planning:

  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate task assignments, dependencies, and cross-functional resource planning.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate risks and blockers.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Prepare project documentation including charters, status reports, meeting minutes, and change logs.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and tracking tools.
  • Facilitate team and client communications, meetings, and documentation reviews.

Risk, Issue, and Change Management:

  • Track project risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Maintain logs and ensure follow-up on all outstanding actions.
  • Support change request workflows, documentation, and impact analysis.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, technical leads, developers, and testers.
  • Act as liaison between client stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and objectives.

Project Quality & Compliance:

  • Assist in verifying deliverable quality, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure project documentation is audit-ready and version controlled.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, IT, or a related field.
  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination or PMO support in IT environments.
  • Experience working on Oracle Utilities projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, JIRA, Smartsheet, and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Understanding of Oracle Utilities application lifecycle, patch/update cycles, and project governance.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Clear and professional communication with internal and client-facing teams.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and solution-focused.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting complex IT projects in utility or public sector domains.
  • Familiarity with Oracle CCB, MWM, MDM, SGG, or SOA Suite terminology and workflows.

Additional Notes:

Experience supporting Oracle Utilities projects (including CCB, MWM, MDM, SGG, and SOA Suite) is highly desirable. This position may require both onsite and remote delivery of services, including after-hours support based on project needs. Candidates with prior experience in the utility sector or supporting public entities are strongly encouraged to apply.
