Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading and supporting warehouse team to execute the daily plan/schedule by ensuring all warehouse functions are completed in an efficient, accurate, and orderly manner. This role assists with troubleshooting and resolving daily operational issues and escalating pertinent issues to Warehouse Supervisor to contribute to meeting the Company’s mission of developing and marketing high-quality brands, and running best-in-class operations.
Essential Functions:
- Partners with Warehouse Supervisor to develop and execute daily shift plan by assigning staff as needed.
- Works on the floor daily performing a variety of tasks including receiving, inventory control, bottle transfers, FOL, EOL, picking and shipping. Acts as back-up to Traffic Scheduling, Billing, Sample Cage, and Label Room as needed.
- Supports and monitors quality and quantity of warehouse functions by team member.
- Ensures new team members are trained on work procedures and processes in compliance with departmental and company guidelines. Includes all plant safety guidelines and safe operation of equipment.
- Solves daily operational issues to help the Warehouse department run smoothly and cost effectively.
- Consults with Warehouse Supervisor on any staffing requirements, overtime requirements, and employee concerns.
- Monitors procedures and provides input for process improvements.
- Acts as the first point of contact for hourly warehouse personnel concerning daily work assignments.
- Opens up the Warehouse at shift start when required. Responsible for key and code carrying.
- Investigates thoroughly and approves inventory adjustments or movement based on raw material or finished goods rules.
- Participates in shift handoff, communicating any/all issues or concerns.
- Acts as back up for Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
- Runs replenishment report and verifies content, ensuring warehouse materials can be transferred when needed.
- Physically verifies warehouse space for incoming materials and works with Purchasing department to ship out excess materials to outside warehouse locations for later use.
- Maintains warehouse operations daily communication by updating information boards with orders and picking/receiving details.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Must have advanced knowledge of warehouse operations, equipment, activities and procedures.
- Must have knowledge of inventory control, receiving, shipping, warehouse layout of raw materials and finished goods storage.
Required Education & Experience:
- Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities (i.e., forklift operator certification).
- 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse/materials control position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not have direct reports but provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to Warehouse teams to ensure operational efficiency and team accountability.
Work Location & Travel Required:
Work is performed 100% on-site. Travel for work purposes is not required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Requires frequent standing and walking with the ability to move throughout the facility.
- Ability to position self to bend, twist, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Involves occasional exposure to noise and moderate changes in temperature (heat and cold).
- Work is primarily performed indoors in a warehouse setting. Work may be occasionally performed outdoors.

Starting Pay Range:
$24.00 - $29.00/Hour
Plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.
Where a candidate falls within the pay range will vary based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, education, skills and experience.
