Pinchin is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join the Asbestos Laboratory Group in the Mississauga office. The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for providing lab analysis to Pinchin.

Laboratory Analyst responsibilities include:

Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content by Polarized Light Microscopy
Entering data and preparing reports
Quality control of samples from both internal and external sources

The successful candidate will have the following:

Diploma or university degree in a related discipline
Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy
Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible color
Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy will be considered as asset
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) will be considered an asset
Be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment, and to effectively prioritize tasks
Ability to work in a busy environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
