Position Details:
- Title: Chemical Operator - Bulk Liquids
- Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have prior production experience and batch making experience.
- Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Location: Gibbstown, NJ (08027)
- Salary Range: $20.00 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
Essential Job Functions:

Read and interpret batch cards; accurately record required information both in written form and electronically database systems.
- Accurately measure and weigh ingredients or filled containers to ensure compliance with specifications.

Mix ingredients in accordance with established formulas and procedures.

Start up machines or equipment to initiate production processes.

Monitor gauges and charts; log all production data as required.

Operate process equipment such as batch tanks, blenders, pumps, compressors, etc., under supervision.

Observe production processes and monitor equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Complete batch paperwork and review inventory levels for accuracy.
Safety:
- Complies with all safety regulations; maintains a safe work environment at all times.
- Adheres to always wearing the proper PPE/Safety equipment.
- Understands and complies with all written safety, health, and environmental procedures.
- Attends all required scheduled Health, Safety and Environmental training sessions.
- Participates in required Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and programs.
- Perform required administrative functions related to Health, Safety and Environmental functions such as completing forms, checklists, and log sheets.
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in production setting.
- Fluent with the English language.
- Ability to understand and follow procedures/directions both written and verbal.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Organized and ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Math skills – Ability to convert lbs., grams, kilos, ounces, liters, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities and demands.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with utilizing ERP, MRP, or Inventory Management Systems preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb; and lift/move up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. In addition, must be able to maneuver and move 30 to 55-gallon drums or up to 450 pounds utilizing proper drum material handling equipment and/or the proper techniques.
Work Environment: Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals and will be exposed to varying temperatures.
