FAMILY BASED MENTAL HEALTH WORKER Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA
Salary Range: $44k-$49k depending on experience
The Mental Health Worker will be responsible for collaboration with team members to implement goals identified by the family in the treatment plan, access community resources, and assist family members and other care takers in developing skills to access other systems supports. This passionate individual works with the family to identify appropriate referrals and supports the family with those referrals. In addition, the Mental Health Worker assists with skill building activities as identified in the treatment plan and coordinates activities including interagency team meetings. Responsibilities will also include client/family support and counseling, documentation, client/family outreach, systems outreach, school consultation, and crisis intervention and prevention.

Job Specifics: work schedule is a Monday Friday full-time position with a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements: Candidates are preferred to have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP), or in another child or adolescent mental health setting. Knowledge of community systems including child welfare, juvenile justice, and community mental health is preferred.
Candidates must have a bachelors degree with at least 12 credit hours in psychology, counseling, family therapy, sociology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation counseling, or theology, from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge of Family Based program operations and related standards is preferred.
The ideal candidate must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Autism Spectrum experience preferred:
- At least 1 year of experience as a direct clinician, therapeutic support staff (TSS), or higher with children on ASD spectrum preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in providing parent training/consultation, preferably Behavioral Skills Training models
- Preferably, direct experience supervising TSS or other aide/paraprofessional positions
- Must have one of the following:
- Graduate coursework in Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders
- Graduate coursework in evidence-based treatments for ASD
- Graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis
Ability to link to ASD-specific resources and supports, including knowledge of Special Education Law, behavioral health continuum, ASD community supports, DBHIDS/BAS waivers and supports for transition-age youth.
