The Opportunity:
Sentrex is hiring a People & Culture (P&C) Assistant to ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day operation of our People and Culture function. This role provides essential administrative support to the P&C team and employees throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized, and detail-oriented professional who brings resourcefulness and an understanding of HR processes and programs.
This key role on the P&C team will have the opportunity to be involved in the implementation and development of P&C programs and initiatives in support of the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the P&C team and employees, including responding promptly to employee inquiries, preparing employment letters, internal communications, reports, meeting minutes, and other correspondence.
- Maintain and update employee records and P&C documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist employees and people leaders with questions related to HRIS and HR processes.
- Provide daily support to P&C Business Partners on employee relations matters such as attendance, accommodation, performance conversations and documentation.
- Offer guidance and support to employees and people leaders on P&C policies, programs and procedures.
- Update trackers for employee status changes such as promotions, role changes, departures, and leave of absences.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.
- Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and responding to employee inquiries.
- Provide support for Health and Safety initiatives and practices in the workplace, as well as the Service Awards Program.
- Assist the P&C team with translations of P&C related documentation and communication (as requested.)
- Assist the P&C team with the organization and coordination of new hire onboarding, documentation, and HRIS records.
- Assist with organizing team events and schedules.
- Assist with other ad hoc requests (as required).

What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources, or related field of study.
- 1 year of Human Resources experience working within a progressive, fast-paced environment will be considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Must be resourceful and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset to support employees and People and Culture stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to simplify and streamline processes and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to be efficient with timelines and deadlines.
- Strong ability to work effectively with confidential and sensitive information is essential.
