Join us as a Team LeadAs a Team Lead, you’ll provide skills instruction to adults with developmental disabilities in the community and/or home setting as well as support the day-to-day operations of our program. You’ll assist with developing and maintaining individualized plans, coordinating services, and staff training.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll lead by example and contribute to the success of our program in serving the unique needs of its participants.
This position will start as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the first 60 days, working 32 hours per week. Following satisfactory performance, this individual will transition into a Team Lead, working 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do
- Direct Service Duties (70-80%): Provide skills instruction to participants one-on-one or in a group (1:2, 1:3), including but not limited to:
- Implement IPP (Individual Program Plan) and ISP (Individual Support Plan) goals.
- Collect data and track progress towards ISP and behavior goals.
- Manage weekly spending budgets for each Participant. Support personal care for Participants, as needed.
- Ensure transportation needs are met.
- Provide coverage, as needed.
- Administrative Duties (20-30%): Assist the Program Manager with program development, staff training, and other relative administrative duties, included but not limited to:
- Assist in program curriculum development and activity schedule planning for Participants.
- Assist with field and behavior training to staff and offer on-going support, as needed.
- Regularly communicate with conservators, family members (if approved by the Participant), Regional Centers, and third-party collaborators.
- Act as liaison within the Participant’s team and advocate for Participant’s needs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate documentation regarding Participant’s service, including daily summaries, Special Incident Reports (SIRs), etc…
- Adhere to company policies and related regulations including Title 17 & 22, Injury & Illness Prevention program and Emergency Disaster plan for each participant.
- Assume any other administrative responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager.
What You'll Have
- At least 3 years of experience in human services, preferably with adults with developmental disabilities.
- Proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and act with initiative in day-to-day operations and unexpected situations.
Requirements
- Able to drive participants in one's own personal vehicle; possesses a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Able to pass a background check with satisfactory results.
- Able to provide current CPR/First Aid certification and TB clearance.
- Able to assist individuals with physical needs, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 lbs.
- Able to respond to and assist individuals during medical events, such as seizures.
