Job Description

The Assistant Merchandise Planner supports the Merchandise Planner in driving sales and inventory outcomes through accurate forecasting, SKU-level item planning, and  trade analysis. This role is responsible for assisting in weekly trade reporting, maintaining attribution accuracy, and ensuring effective seasonal stock allocations to maximise inventory productivity and support overall merchandise strategy

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

  •  Responsible for the initial allocations of seasonal and job lot lines to ensure stock levels in store are at right level to achieve sales forecasts and maximise sell through.
  • Working with category team to manage product life cycles, regular attribute and data maintenance.
  • Support the seasonal buy and inventory flow process in conjunction with Planner.
  • Item Planning on core lines to maintain ideal in stock position.
  • Preparing and analysing planning reporting.
  • Manages performance tracking tools and reports and through analysis provides top level feedback on performance.
  • Ad Hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy of reports.
  • Support Planner with Merch Trading in achieving category KPIs.

Do you have the below experience and looking to take the next step in your career?

  •  Demonstrated capability in retail inventory analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of allocations, replenishment, and planning principles
  • Previous retail allocation experience
  • Ability to influence others to ensure the financial performance and inventory productivity optimisation is the primary focus.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities.
