DUTIES:                               Design and develop new software and web applications using Python; develop Shell scripts in Unix/Linux environments; implement Kanban methodology within Jira and Rally; perform automation testing and manual testing using Putty, Postman, Selenium, Shell scripts, Python scripts, Appdynamics, Grafana, JMeter, and Elasticsearch; administer Linux systems, SDN/NFV architecture, and public and private cloud instances including OpenStack; develop ETL pipelines using Informatica; troubleshoot ETL jobs in a DevOps model using Pentaho; use SQL and PL/SQL to manage structured data in RDBMS systems; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; and work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing Shell scripts in Unix/Linux environments; implementing Kanban methodology within Jira and Rally; performing automation testing and manual testing using Putty, Postman, Selenium, Shell scripts, Python scripts, Appdynamics, Grafana, JMeter, and Elasticsearch; administering Linux systems, SDN/NFV architecture, and public and private cloud instances including OpenStack; of which one (1) year includes developing software applications using Python; developing ETL pipelines using Informatica; troubleshooting ETL jobs in a DevOps model using Pentaho; and using SQL and PL/SQL to manage structured data in RDBMS systems
