Job Summary:

• Under general supervision, coordinates the clerical and manual tasks of receiving, verifying, shipping, recording, and distributing various materials and equipment.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with one year of experience performing related work.

What You'll Do:

• Coordinates the handling of incoming and outgoing shipments; performs verification of new merchandise against purchase orders and invoices; distributes materials and equipment according to requisition.
• Prepares receiving reports on all materials, equipment, and on shortages and damaged materials received.
• Maintains outstanding order, purchase order, and requisition files.
• Receives outgoing shipments returned for credit, exchange, or repair; packs merchandise for shipping; types shipping notices and bills of lading; enters information into the computer, and maintains shipping logs and records.
• May independently open and close a receiving facility other than the main campus dock.
• Maintains clean and orderly conditions in assigned work area.
• Recommends orders of equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to perform required work.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Skills/Qualification:

• Basic math skills
• Ability to provide guidance to less experienced personnel
• Ability to work independently

Pay Range

$20.40 - $30.60
