Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides security for patients, staff and visitors of all Navicent Health facilities by monitoring the closed- circuit television system throughout the campus’ of all Navicent entities (inside and outside).
  • Handle the safekeeping of patient valuables consistently and in accordance with system policies and procedures.
  • Respond to phone calls and prepare necessary reports for documentation.  Effective communication with all callers via telephone or radio.
  • Utilizes the closed-circuit television system to patrol internal and external grounds of all facilities.  Reports hazards and security risks in both secured and unsecured areas.
  • Perform duties to monitor infant alarm system, building and panic alarms, S2 door access, fire alarm system, medical gas system, code blue emergency stations and dispatch officers and records information.  Communicates with other law enforcement agencies as necessary.  Utilizes software with the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) to obtain information on person(s) and/or vehicle(s).
  • Performs general security duties to enforce the system’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintains data via written logs or computer-based log.
  • May have responsibility for badge creation and administration, including the following:
    • Create badges for new hires, contractors, replacement badges, students, volunteers, Retirees and Observers.
    • Maintains badge sign in sheets and student consent forms
    • Responsible for badges to be sent via courier - Baldwin, Peach, Carlyle Place, & Rehab
    • Responsible for badge machine maintenance and inventory records of all materials used in badge    creation
    • Responsible for ordering inventory for badge machine
    • Responsible for badge request system to ensure badge request completion to show badge reflects appropriate departments and layouts
    • Responsible for maintaining current data in badge management system (i.e. entering badge numbers into payroll system)
    • Responsible for troubleshooting door access issues for badges
    • Responsible for working with Candidate Experience Specialist (CES) team to get list of weekly starts to prepare badges
    • Responsible for resolving HR service center badge/access tickets or transferring to other responsible person for resolution.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Valid Georgia Driver’s license; must be able to be MVR-cleared to drive company vehicles.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.    

Experience Required:

  • One year experience with radio communication device(s) (dispatch communication skills) and one year experience utilizing computer-based systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, be able to handle high stress and difficult situations and people and be able to work independently and as a team member.  Must have excellent organization skills and attention to detail.  Time management skills required.  Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity.  Must have verbal ability to communicate in person and over the phone or radio.  Must be able to assist co-workers in transfers and transport supplies, patients/residents, or equipment using good body mechanics.  Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 60-80 pounds, specific to the job class evaluation.  Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and change from one position to the other rapidly. Must be able to lift 5-10 lbs. and carry 5-10 pounds specific to job class evaluation.  Must be able to tolerate high noise, busy atmospheres and noxious odors. Must be able to work in noisy environments and be self-directed to complete jobs as ordered. Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to assess and respond to multiple situations simultaneously. Must be able to assist co-workers in multiple overlapping tasks simultaneously.  Must be able to prioritize job tasks and organize workspace to be efficient and conducive to completing work tasks as assigned in a timely manner.

Pay Range

$17.65 - $26.50
