Who we are and what we do 
The Cyber Testing Center (CTC) is an international team of security professionals and ethical hackers who thrive on discovering how things work - and how they can be made safer. Every day we put web, mobile applications and infrastructure under the microscope, while also delivering hands-on training and workshops for our internal customers. 

As cyber-threats evolve, so do we. To keep NN’s digital landscape secure, we’re searching for a Junior Penetration Tester to join our team. In this role you’ll hunt for vulnerabilities, champion secure-by-design practices across all NN countries, establish testing standards, share cutting-edge tools, and teach development teams how to build resilient applications. The tasks you will perform 

• ​ Execute penetration testing of applications and infrastructure 

• ​ Support security activities in the application lifecycle. 

• ​ Play with and enhance static & dynamic testing tools. 

• ​ Share with developers and other colleagues what you discover. 

• ​ Help with the growth of our penetration-testing service. 

• ​ Validate reports from responsible disclosure program. 

• ​ Do research, build cool tools, and level up NN’s security. 

The knowledge and experience you bring 

• ​ Relevant tech degree or some experience in security and development 

• ​ Fluent English  

• ​ Know-how in web, mobile or network security and penetration testing in general 

• ​ Curiosity and motivation to learn new skills fast 

• ​ Solid communication skills – you can explain nerdy stuff clearly 

• ​ Comfortable reading code and using pentest tools 

We’ll like you even more if you have 

• ​ Experience programming and developing web apps (.NET, Java, PEGA, Python, shell scripting, Objective-C, …) 

• ​ Background in penetration testing, CTF/Bug Bounty, or secure coding 

• ​ IT admin chops (Unix, Windows, network... ) 

• ​ Passion for learning new pentesting techniques 

​Beyond the Paycheck:  

• ​ We work mostly from home, but we’d like to meet you in the office from time-to-time. Once a month we usually meet as a team after work. We also provide a monthly contribution to your HO expenses​  

• 5 weeks off, 5 well-being days, extra family leave, and a volunteer day.

How we hire 
Our selection process is not just about talking, we'd like to gain a clear picture of your skills, experience, and way of thinking. That's why our selection process has three stages: 

• ​Skills assessment: to showcase your abilities, you’ll receive a small application for pentest on which you will write a report. 

• ​Technical interview: you’ll discuss your knowledge and broader expertise with the Team Lead and one of your future teammates. 

• ​Final interview: you’ll meet with the Product Owner, Team Lead, and HR for the concluding conversation
