Oversees management of retail sales and general operations of several branches for Consumer Banking branches, including sales, service, and operations and staffing and personnel related issues for branch network. Responsible for facilitation of sales training for management, sales, and teller staff.
Serves as sales manager for bank and directly responsible for Consumer Banking sales, service, and operations for branches assigned with support given to outlying branches. Accountable for sales training, performance, and results. Implements, executes, and accountable for sales management programs of department and bank. Effectively communicates with all positions in the bank and relays information to both staff and management. Works closely with Vice President to coordinate sales strategies, accomplish financial/sales goals, and meet sale management objectives. Solves problems and uses creativity for issue resolution. Achieves and maintains consistency throughout branches. Works with Vice President and Operations Officer on a variety of different matters. Travels to branches in region, working extensively with Branch Managers on sales management activities and coaching for increased effectiveness; developing proactive sales strategies and tactics to meet the branch sales goals. Coaches and motivates with sales activities, regular review of sales reports, and directs branches for alignment of the strategic plan. Stays abreast of changing technology, compliance, laws, and regulations. Responsible for outside business development calling efforts to identify needs and opportunities for consumer and business products and services. Is expected to participate in the local community organizations. Environment is fast paced, where interruptions occur often. It is important to dress and act in a professional manner. Accountable for other tasks as directed.
Interacts with bank employees to complete customer and employee requests. Provides Legendary Service to customers, and coworkers, while establishing strong relationships. Provides a model of accuracy, service, strong sales ability, and efficiency for others.
Oversees sales culture of Consumer Banking, utilizing and ensuring sales models are followed by staff. Monitors branch manager performance and ensures facility is meeting bank's overall strategic plan. Promotes team atmosphere providing Legendary Service to both customers and coworkers while ensuring branch operations in accordance with branch control manual standards. Responsible for compliance with banking regulations which are applicable to job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in business or management preferred. At least five years of retail sales management experience including directing and managing sales staff required. Knowledge in the banking field and the ability to think strategically to support growth and profitability of bank. Knowledge of all retail products and services, including available technology. Strong leadership skills. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Excellent planning and organizational skills are required. Must have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to think strategically. Must be able to interact with management and peers and employees and be a team player. Banking experience is preferred. Proactively assumes additional responsibilities/duties/projects.
