Responsibilities:
Manage port operations (receiving, storage, and shipping), focusing on people development management aimed at improving productivity, safety, and operational costs optimization. Improve the logistical processes of shipments on specialized vessels for pulp (breakbulk). Support negotiations with suppliers, seeking the best balance between quality, productivity, and cost. Present contract management through a structured monthly routine, with monitoring of performance indicators.
• Manage the entire breakbulk operation, both inbound (receiving via rail and road transport) and outbound (shipping and monitoring vessels using gantry and jib cranes);
• Lead the team at the port, ensuring safety and high productivity at all stages (receiving, storage, shipping);
• Participate in defining union negotiation strategies, with expertise in applying collective agreements established between Bracell and the represented labor categories;
• Act as the primary interface between planning, production, and operations, negotiating deadlines and optimal logistical solutions for shipments;
• Support the operational team, aiming at terminal efficiency, equipment performance, and vessel shipping;
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for new port operation areas;
• Manage contracts and support interfaces with suppliers, from port operators to active participation in BIDs;
• Control budgets, forecasts, and provisions, consolidating monthly results for the area;
• Oversee dockside services, ensuring compliance with Ministry of Labor (MPT) regulations;
• Ensure traceability of received and shipped inventories, monitoring vessel planning and scheduling with a focus on safety, performance, and cost.
Specific responsibilities:
• Participate in meetings with public agencies (APS, RFB, ABTRA, ABTP, etc.);
• Responsible for maintaining updated Operational Procedures;
• Monitor Santos Port indicators and service levels agreed upon with suppliers;
• Identify and propose improvement opportunities in the area, implementing them when feasible/approved;
• Attend the safety committee meetings;
To be successful in this role, it is mandatory that you have the following skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree.
• Solid expirience with port operations.
• Fluent English.
• Avaiability to work at Santos - SP
