We have got an exciting opportunity for Admissions Officer to be part of our team at Victoria University Sydney and Brisbane in our Sydney campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Processing: accurately assess and process international student applications in line with VU admission policies and entry requirements. Ensure timely data entry and record maintenance in student management systems (e.g., StudyLink, Salesforce, TechOne, Sone, Meshed
  • Offer Management: prepare and issue Letters of Offer, Conditional Offers, and CoEs (Confirmation of Enrolments) in accordance with CRICOS and institutional guidelines. Follow up on outstanding documentation and maintain accurate records for compliance purposes.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Liaison: respond to enquiries from agents, applicants, and internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner. Liaise with recruitment, student services, student administration, enrolments finance, marketing where clarification or approval is required.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to ESOS, CRICOS, and other regulatory frameworks when assessing applications. Assist in audits and quality checks to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Reporting & Workflow Support: Maintain targetsheet and spreadsheets up to date and support regular reporting of admissions data. Escalate complex or non-standard cases to senior staff or the Admissions Manager as needed.
  • Team Contribution & Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives. Provide backup support to peers during high-volume periods or staff absences.
  • Projects: Undertaking projects as required by the Admissions Manager

As the successful candidate you will ideally have:

Qualification:

  • Diploma level or equivalent experience

Experience in:

  • the international education sector
  • an international admissions team in Australia
  • academic assessment
  • working with multiple stakeholders

Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements including but not limited to the ESOS Act and National Code. Understanding of education qualifications and how to assess them

Skiils:

  • Confidence in decision making
  • Strong communication / English skills
  • Technology capable (does not need training on how to use Microsoft tools)
  • Fast learner (will need to learn internal systems)
  • Attention to detail / accuracy
  • Can work independently
