Summary and purpose of position: 

 

Focusing on the preparation of monthly finance reports, assisting with ledger account reconciliations, along with various other financial reporting and assistant responsibilities.

Duties and responsibilities: 

 

  • Preparation of the monthly reports to invoice the customer 

  • Assisting with ledger account reconciliations aligned to the management accounts 

  • Supporting the finance manager to ensure revenues and costs are captured and allocated accurately 

  • Undertake nominal ledger tasks including processing journals, normal ledger cross charges and period end reconciliations 

  • Reporting and monitoring of KPIs and non-financial information to support service delivery and contractual commitments 

  • Assisting the finance manager with balance sheet preparation including robust reconciliations to support balances 

  • Completion of monthly payroll reconciliations 

  • Completion of regular large operational reconciliations 

  • Supporting the finance managers with responsibilities across the infrastructure program 

 

Experience, Skills, and Attributes: 

 

  • Qualified or working towards: AAT/CIMA/ACCA 

  • Strong communication skills and effective in building working relationships at various levels 

  • Experience of working with a finance software package or ERP package 

  • Work to a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and promote healthy and robust financial controls 

  • Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards 

  • Be flexible and respond quickly and positively to internal and external stakeholder requests 

  • Have excellent IT skills and be able to understand and harness various systems to benefit the operation 

  • CITB Operatives or suitable alternative
