Chair, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Overlook Medical Center

Atlantic Health, one of the largest non-profit healthcare networks in New Jersey, is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist to serve as Chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Overlook Medical Center located in Summit, New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic physician leader to maintain a strong clinical presence while shaping the direction of PM&R services at an award-winning medical center.

The Chair will work in both inpatient (20%) and outpatient (80%) settings, with 90% of the role focused on clinical care and 10% dedicated to administrative duties. Responsibilities include developing and implementing departmental protocols and procedures, overseeing pain management and traumatic brain injury services, and improving access and continuity of care for individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and disabling conditions. The Chair will collaborate with physician and administrative leadership to support strategic planning, program development, clinical research, and educational initiatives.

Salary Range: $300,000 - $350,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives

Qualifications:

Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attending physician
Prior experience as a department chair or section chief preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and program growth
