POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our accounting team and report to the Accounting Manager. This role will support our accounting department, focusing on subcontractor pre-qualification financial reviews, internal and external financial reporting, and execution of financial statement audit(s). information. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller. This is a full-time in-office position. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and analytical individual, with a strong team-focused attitude. This position will be fully in person in Lake Oswego, OR.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually (DOE).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Complete financial prequalification reviews for subcontractors. This includes analysis of subcontractor financial information and documentation of our financial analysis.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead and execute the financial statement audit process for a stand-alone entity. This would include financial reporting, preparation and accumulation of required audit documentation, managing communication with outside auditors, etc.
- Analyze financial data and forecasting support as needed. Evaluate current and previous financial data and assist in variance analysis.
- Complete advanced financial or technical accounting analysis and post entries to the general ledger.
- Provide ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Support other departmental projects, data requests, compliance requirements as needed.
- Provide outstanding service through timely and effective follow-ups and communications with both internal and external customers.
- Learn various department processes on a detailed level to provide support during times of transition or team member leaves.
Qualifications:
Position Related Skills
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams) and have a general understanding of working within a computer network. Strong MS Excel Skills (pivot tables, V-lookups, etc.) preferred.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP platform preferred.
- Experience preparing and reviewing GAAP compliant financial statements including audits and reviews. Solid understanding of GAAP and associated financial reporting standards, with the ability to research and apply GAAP standards to business transactions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a large professional setting. Patience and professionalism are essential.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership.
Professional Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree.
- At least three years of prior work experience. Experience with financial reporting/data analysis and public accounting experience. Public accounting experience at Big 4 or regional public accounting firm within Assurance Services preferred.
- Prior experience within the construction industry also preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Standing/Walking/Sitting: workday is combination of standing, walking and sitting.
- Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of day.
- Hands/Arms: constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
- Sight: visual acuity in near, mid, and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
- Hearing: sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
- Speech: sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone.
- Lift/Carry: Up to 20lbs. Computer/drawings - minimal.
- Bending/Twisting: minimal.
- Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: minimal.
- Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
- Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
- Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and critical thinking skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results.
- Must be able to plan and organize work.
- Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
