Roles and Responsibilities: -
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead safety training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety
- Investigate accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of operations
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in safety management
- Prepare and present reports on safety performance to senior management
- Mentor and coach safety officers to enhance their skills and performance
- Oversee emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness
Technical Skills: - In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the Power/Energy industry - Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems - Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations - Familiarity with emergency response planning and execution
Non-Negotiable Skills: - Strong leadership abilities - In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards - Proven track record in leading safety initiatives
Education Qualification: - Bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering - Post Graduate qualification in Health & Safety
Experience: - 20-25 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry - Proven track record in leading safety initiatives and programs.
Certification required: - Relevant certifications in Health & Safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
Non-Negotiable Skills: - Strong leadership abilities - In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards - Proven track record in leading safety initiatives
