Job Description & Summary
PWC Mongolia is seeking to hire Interns to join our Tax Line of Service. Each intern will be assigned to one of three focus areas: Transfer Pricing, Tax Consulting, or Tax Reporting and Strategy. As an intern, you will be an integral part of PwC’s tax practice, contributing to projects within your designated team and collaborating with experienced professionals. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients from a variety of industries, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to complex tax matters.
What you will do
Transfer Pricing
Assist with preparing benchmarking studies using financial databases and industry research
Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation in compliance with local and international regulations
Support translation of transfer pricing documentation
Participate in internal meetings and training sessions to build technical knowledge and stay updated on tax regulations
Manage administrative tasks for client projects, including file organization, data management, and record-keeping per PwC policies
Assist in preparing documentation for client engagements and internal reviews
Collaborate with team members and cross-functional groups to deliver client services effectively
Tax Consulting
Draft tax memos and client advisory notes under supervision
Participate in internal meetings and training sessions to build technical knowledge and stay updated on tax regulations
Manage administrative tasks for client projects, including file organization, data management, and record-keeping per PwC policies
Conduct basic research on Mongolian tax laws and international tax developments
Assist in preparing documentation for client engagements and internal reviews
Collaborate with team members and cross-functional groups to deliver client services effectively
Tax Reporting and Strategy
Participate in tax compliance, including payroll calculation, personal income tax, social insurance filings, and documentation review, support development and implementation of new tools
Draft client and internal presentations, training materials, and summaries
Manage administrative tasks for client projects, including file organization, data management, and record-keeping per PwC policies
Join client meetings, workshops, and training sessions as needed
Communicate and visit state authorities on client matters when required
Collaborate with team members and cross-functional groups to deliver client services effectively
What you will bring along
Final year student currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Strong academic record and keen interest in tax advisory, accounting, and consulting services
Flexibility and commitment
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mongolian
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Proactive and eager to learn
Team player with excellent communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
