Job Description Summary

We’re a team of dedicated and smart people united by a drive to achieve together.
You will be a key Business Partnering role with responsibility for coordination of financial processes at the Corporate level and liaison with top management within Finance and the Function/Unit. You will be actively involved in actual reporting process, contributing insights and update of executive reports related to month, quarter, and annual results for the Function/Unit and ensure smooth month-end closing including actuals vs plan deviation analysis and support projects and initiatives on regular basis.


 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners effectively on different dimensions (local and global, as well as Senior Management)

  • Responsible to provide consolidated views of Function/Unit to be used for key executive presentations including business drivers

  • Develop and implement the strategic financial plan in close collaboration with global business leaders for Function/Unit

  • Provides cost transparency and ensure good understanding of key cost drivers

  • Evaluates risks & opportunities, proactively communicates and makes recommendations for mitigation. Follows up and ensures issues are addressed

  • Conduct value added analyses, e.g. Resource Allocation, Profitability analyses, Benchmarking to recommend short -and long-term targets and improvement areas.

  • Ensures business partners understand the financial processes and follow internal guidelines/SOPs

  • Support continuous automation & simplification initiatives to optimize Corporate BPA financial planning and reporting processes

  • Support adhoc process improvement projects that deliver value for Novartis Group

  • Provide analysis that drive efficiency in all lines of the NVS Group P&L

Essential Criteria:

  • University degree in Finance & Accounting. MBA desirable.

  • Strong experience in financial position 

  • Financial/Analytical Thinking

Desirable Criteria:

  • BPA experience
