How will you make an impact in this role?

The Global Learning & Knowledge Management (GLKM) team provides a full range of multifaceted, evolving learning and performance solutions that enrich our colleague’s skills and knowledge, while driving engagement and business results. We are a distributed team responsible for developing integrated learning strategies, crafting innovative learning solutions, and delivering experiential learning experiences. The Learning Consultant will use performance consultation to understand performance gaps and recommend appropriate learning solutions for the TLS business, while demonstrating the GLKM vision, brand, and value proposition in business partner interactions. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement in the quality and efficacy of training for TLS, as well as improving the overall learner experience and performance results.

The Learning Consultant must be able to:

  • Effectively consult with our internal clients on a variety of projects to assess needs, make recommendations, prioritize, and implement highly effective and engaging learning solutions in alignment with business objectives.
  • Fully understand the business scorecards, objectives, and strategic priorities to support decisions and prioritize work.
  • Use performance data and engage a continuous feedback loop to inform training decisions and promote continuous learning.
  • Effectively collaborate with project management and across internal GLKM teams to ensure the involvement of appropriate partners and stakeholders.
  • Translate learning and performance support strategies into clear plans and stakeholder presentations.
  • Partner to coordinate and align resources and tasks across GLKM teams and ensure comprehensive learning solutions are offered.
  • Consider both internal and external thinking as a part of the GLKM solution set.
  • Partner within GLKM teams to ensure successful execution of learning initiatives with a focus on driving performance.
  • Manage/monitor learning and performance support intake requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong consultative abilities coupled with proven influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, excel in a complex fast paced, rapidly evolving business
  • Ability to problem solve with minimal direction
  • Understanding of workflow learning and the impacts of performance support on driving business results
  • Excellent problem solver:  ability to link project strategies to business objectives and drive desired business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects while working collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Products in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Customer Engagement Network
  • 1 plus years working experience in Learning & Development and/or Content Development with the ability to convert strategies to effective and engaging learning solutions
  • 1 plus years of experience in Project Management
  • Understanding of external trends in the L&D and Talent fields
  • Results Driver: Track record of managing multiple projects at once successfully.
  • Enthusiastic, fun, flexible and demonstrates a willingness to learn!

Minimum Qualifications

 

Salary Range: AXP employees will maintain their current salary and be eligible for a completion bonus at the end of the temporary work assignment. The completion bonus is up to 5% base salary for laterals in band and up to 10% base salary for stretch assignments. The completion bonus amount will also be pro-rated to reflect the length of the assignment.
