Role Overview:
We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst with a strong data engineering and technology background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building actuarial tools and managing data effectively. In this role, you will support the transformation efforts for the EMEA Pricing function by developing and maintaining systems and tools that enhance analytical capabilities, improve data quality, and streamline reporting processes.
Your expertise in data engineering and analytics will be crucial in enabling the team to deliver precise insights and support strategic decision-making within the organization. If you are passionate about using technology to drive efficiency and innovation in actuarial practices, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial tools and models that support various analytical processes.
Collaborate with other pricing actuaries to understand their needs and implement effective IT solutions that improve data management and reporting capabilities.
Manage and maintain large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security, while also developing processes for efficient data extraction and manipulation.
Utilize programming languages and software tools (such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel) to automate data processing and analysis tasks.
Conduct rigorous data analyses and assist in the interpretation of results to support business strategies and decisions.
Streamline reporting processes by designing user-friendly dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Provide training and support to team members on the use of actuarial tools and data management systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex data challenges creatively.
3-5 years of experience in an analytical role with a focus on tool development and data management.
Strong IT skills, with proficiency in programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
Solid understanding of actuarial principles, methodologies, and the insurance or finance industry.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy and quality.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with database management and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
