About the Role

Bayleys Real Estate is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our team. As Compliance Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing customer risk assessments, due diligence processes, and providing expert AML/CFT guidance. You’ll work closely with General Managers, agents, and admin staff, delivering training and ensuring our compliance standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AML/CFT compliance activities, including customer due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Deliver AML training and support across the business.
  • Reporting unusual activity and pro-actively escalating to the AMLCO when required
  • Review and approve agency agreements, LIMs, and Certificates of Title.
  • Ensure compliance with the Real Estate Agents Act, REINZ guidelines, and company policies.
  • Liaise with finance on compliance-related issues including unallocated deposits and discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external dispute resolution processes.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT legislation
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Commitment to completing your Real Estate License within the first 12 months.
